Obituary

Agnes L. (Crain) Peterson 95, of Springfield, Mo. passed away on Friday morning, July 3, 2015 in her home.

Agnes, the daughter of Warner "Curly" and Ona (Wright) Crain, was born November 11, 1919 in Polk County, near Aldrich, Mo. She grew up in the area and graduated from Aldrich High School in 1937. She and her husband, Clyde, lived in Sarasota, Florida while he was in the military. Returning to the Webb City, Mo. area, before moving to Kansas City. They returned to the Springfield area in 1950, where she had made her home for the last 65 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She had been a secretary and was later employed with the Cafeteria Department of the Springfield School District, at the Cherokee and Reed Junior High Schools for fifteen years.

Agnes Crain and Clyde Peterson were united in marriage on December 31, 1941. To this union four sons were born. Together they were privileged to share over 47 years. Clyde preceded her in death April 17, 1989. Also, preceding her were her parents and a sister, Emma (Crain) Mygatt October 5, 1951.

She is survived by her four sons: Kent Peterson of Altamont, Kansas, Rex and wife Marilyn Peterson of Columbia, Mo., Chris Peterson of Nevada, Mo. and Dane Peterson of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren: Zoe and husband B.J. Woodman and Hans and wife Kelly Peterson; and two great grandchildren: Kiran Woodman and Callum Peterson.

Family graveside services are Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aldrich, Mo. with interment to follow under the care and direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home.
