Alice Lavon Young, 75, of Marionville, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born on July 19, 1949, in California, to Bual and Fern (Matney) Funk. In 1966, Alice and Carl Young were united in marriage and shared over 58 years together.

Alice loved life and enjoyed so many things. She could make just about anything and enjoyed sewing and crafting. Alice also enjoyed music, she had a beautiful singing voice, reading, shopping, and watching old movies. She loved bird watching, fishing, and all of her plants. Alice had a sharp wit about her and was always cutting up. She loved playing various games around the kitchen table with family and friends. Alice also loved cooking for her family and friends and had a talent for cooking many wonderful things. Alice adored her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Above all, Alice loved the Lord, and she served Him faithfully.

Alice is survived by her husband, Carl Young; children, Christy Brandkamp and husband Terry, Connie Lauderdale and husband Wade, Adam Young and wife Kristine; grandchildren, Raychel, Anna, Luke, Victoria, Isabella; great-grandchildren, Alekcys, Izack, Luca, Stetson, Everly, Milo, Oliver, Gearl, Kaylee, Theodore; many other family and friends.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Bual and Fern Funk; brothers, Teddy and Jeffery Funk; great-granddaughter, Ruthie Sue and three other sweet babies.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church, Ash Grove, MO. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Johns Chapel Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.
