Obituary

Anna L. Blakemore went to be with her Lord and Savior July 15, 2020. Anna, the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Kile) King was born in Springfield, MO on July 21, 1933. On December 10, 1949, Anna and Harold Blakemore were united in marriage and shared almost 68 years together before his passing in December 2017.

Anna enjoyed traveling and loved the Rocky Mountains. She loved working in her vegetable and flower garden and was always canning all her vegetable harvest. She was an excellent cook and especially known for her homemade tomato juice and her chocolate and butterscotch pies.

Her family loved her very much and she will be greatly missed.

Anna is survived by her daughters, Glenda Rea (Gary) of Rogersville, Lavonda Trogdon (David) of Ash Grove; son, David Blakemore (Kelly) of Willard; 3 grandchildren, Steve Kellough (Dawn) of Springfield, Matt Blakemore (Andrea) of Republic, Rachel Phillips (Derrick) Aldrich; 6 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Kay Wells (Richard), Donna King all of Ash Grove, Joann Cline (Conrad) of Everton; and several nieces and nephews.

Anna is preceded in death by one great granddaughter; 1 sister, Velma; and 2 brothers, Dale and Billy.

There will be no formal visitation, however, Anna will lie in state Sunday, July 19, 2020 from noon until 6:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Friends and family are invited to come sign the book and pay their respects. A private graveside will take place at a later time.
