Anna Lee (Kastendieck) Dobbins

Anna Lee Dobbins passed away December 31, 2017 at Parkview Healthcare in Bolivar, MO at the age of 88.

Anna Lee was born March 26, 1929 on the family farm in Billings, MO to Karl D. and Minnie (Pieter) Kastendieck. She was a 1947 graduate of Billings High School and a member of the St. Peter's Evangelical United Church of Christ in Billings. Anna Lee was united in marriage to Jack Dobbins on September 17, 1955.  Anna Lee and Jack raised their three children; Tommy, Terry, and Tim on their farm in the Eudora area.

She was a loving mother and homemaker. She prepared many meals and hosted numerous gatherings for family and friends. She loved animals and was known for her many pets out on the farm. Being a loyal Dadeville Bearcat sports fan, Anna enjoyed attending local basketball and baseball games to cheer on her favorite team.

Known lovingly by her family and friends as "MeMa," Anna was a kindhearted and warm soul. She loved to make people laugh, and rarely missed an opportunity to do so. She spent countless hours in the summer at her farm entertaining family, neighbors and friends where she enjoyed reminiscing and telling stories.

Anna is survived by; son Tim Dobbins, daughter Terry and husband Blane Neill, daughter-in-law Kim Dobbins; grandchildren: Jake Neill, Ben Dobbins, and Lindsey Howlett; great grandchildren: Tori and Cole Howlett; brother: Carl Edward Kastendieck and wife Erna Lou; one niece, several nephews and many friends.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, husband Jack, son Tommy, siblings Josephine Cross, Mary Jane Merrick, Ruth Gay and Clifford Kastendieck.

Anna enjoyed participating in hymnal singings, crafts and many other activities at Parkview Healthcare. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Anna Lee's honor to Parkview Resident's Special Project Fund and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604.

Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 12:30PM-until service time at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel.  Burial to follow in Eudora Cemetery.
