Barbara Ann Dorman, 85 of Willard, MO passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. Born On September 23, 1937, to Carl and Pauline (Bergman) Putzka. On July 19, 1965 Barbara married her beloved husband of 58 years, Wirt Dorman.

Barbara graduated from Texas Women's University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Barbara had enjoyed a long career of teaching Physical Education to students in Tyler (Texas), San Diego (California), and Auburn (Washington). Barbara was loved and admired from her students over the years. While in Washington, Barbara started her own Cheesecake business, (Barbara's Cheesecakes). Her business boomed and quickly found herself making Cheesecakes for many high-end restaurants across Seattle, including the Space Needle. Barbara assisted her husband, Wirt, as an associate in his Architecture Business in Willard, MO.  Barbara had many passions, including but not limited to; gardening, sewing, and baking.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Wirt Dorman; Children, Harry Dorman, and Julie Bliss; grandchildren, Angie Neal, Glenn Dorman, Greg Dorman, Tony Berardi, Jessica Bashaw, Cory Berardi, and Richard Bliss; 6 great grandchildren; brother Donald Putzka. Barbara will be greatly missed by extended family members and many of her long-time neighbors and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, brother Russell Putzka, and daughter Carol Smith.

There will be a visitation open to all who knew and loved Barbara on Wednesday, July 19th at 1:00-2:00pm at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
