Barry Glenn Trantham, 58, of Walnut Grove, passed away on September 2, 2018.
Barry, the son of Eugene Barry and Patsy (Dean) Trantham, was born in Springfield, MO, on March 21, 1960. On April 10, 1982, Barry and Sonya (Campbell) were united in marriage and they shared over 36 years together.
Barry was a generous man. He loved his family and worked hard to give them a great life. He loved immeasurably and that love was shown with actions and words. He loved his students, gave advice, instilled confidence, showed them love and kindness. Barry loved to spoil and bring happiness to those around him. He was firm but fair, wise and smart, he was strong and so brave. One of his greatest joys is his granddaughter, Kiersten Trantham. She changed his life and he loved her beyond comprehension. He loved to cook for her, especially fried fish and steak. She was his farm buddy checking cows with him when she was just a baby. His girls and his students are his legacy. Barry loved his wife Sonya and their girls. He was never afraid of being the best dad and best man in a house full of women. Barry and Sonya shared a deep love that made their daughters proud. They showed them how hard work, love, and patience can create a happy home. They were the perfect balance to each other. Barry's legacy is one of faith, kindness, giving, and above all…love.
