Obituary

Billy Gene DeArman, Sr., sailed across the sea on March 17, 2019, at his home in Walnut Grove, MO.


Billy was born November 26, 1933, in Watonga, OK to William Lucion DeArman and Rosie Mae Avants DeArman. On November 23, 1954 Billy and Jean (Higginbottom) were united in marriage and shared over 64 years together.


Billy was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the First Baptist Church of Walnut Grove, MO. He loved being outdoors, especially when he could be hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed watching western movies. Billy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.


Billy is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sabrina Jackson, son, Billy DeArman, Jr., granddaughter, Tearra Emmett, brothers John, Timothy, and Tilton DeArman, sisters Dora Deckert, Fannie Bigler, Flora Martin, Wilma Goodner, Velvie Schroader, and Carol Harvin.
Survivors include wife Jean DeArman of the home, daughters Rose Slayton of Everton, MO, Cheryl Clark and husband Dave of Yukon, OK, grandchildren Bobby Carman of Paden, OK, Jennifer Hamm of Eudora, MO, Angela LaGue and wife April of Corvallis, OR, Mariah Funk and husband Devin of Stroud, OK, David Smith of Rome, GA, David Clark and wife Nikki of Waco, TX, Desirea Romesburg and husband Matt of Ebenezer, MO, Billy DeArman and Sidney Elling of Morrisville, MO, Beau DeArman and Emily Green of Springfield, MO, great grandchildren, Christopher Emmett, Tracy Emmett, Heather Naylor and husband Jack , Megan Hamm, Brayden Romesburg, Laela Romesburg, Alyssa DeArman, Isabele DeArman, Lyric DeArman, Alyssa Smith, Carson Funk, Mailey Scales, David Clark IV, Anthony LaGue, Jessica LaGue, Bailey LaGue, Jackson LaGue, Marley Elling, and great great grandson Oliver Naylor, brother David DeArman, sisters Wanda Kessler, and Paula Mahe.


The family will have a private memorial. Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove.
