Billye "Jean" Countryman, 81, of Walnut Grove passed away, on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

Jean the daughter of Truman Hatfield and Ethel O. (Ninemires) Ruggles, was born in Bluejacket, OK, on November, 16, 1935.  Jean married Hugh Floyd Countryman Sr. on February 2, 1958, they enjoyed 40 years together before Hugh's passing in 1998.

Jean was a faithful member of Harold Baptist Church.  She enjoyed being active in the church and the fellowship.  Jean loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and the Walnut Grove Tiger basketball teams.  However, her favorite moments were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Jean was a friend to all that knew her.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Ethel Ruggles; husband, Hugh Floyd Countryman Sr.; and son, Hugh Floyd Countryman Jr; brother, Harold Truman "Tboy" Ruggles; and sister, Tubby Satterwhite.

Jean is survived by her children, Kay Gibson and husband Maury, Chuck Countryman and wife Renea, Willie Countryman and wife Denise, Wayne Countryman and wife Nicole; daughter-in-law, Jackie Countryman; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Hattie Langley, Lois Simons, Nancy McCarty, Alma Jane McCarty, Joyce Tanner; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 at 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO.  Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00PM, in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Harold Baptist Church or Walnut Grove Volunteer Fire Department and may be left at the funeral home.
