Bobby G. Harlin, the son of John Silas and Fanny (Phillips) Harlin, was born in Hedley, TX on November 28, 1928. He passed away, Tuesday evening in his home and was able to celebrate his birthday in heaven, reunited with his love, Beth.

Bobby and Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Popham were united in marriage on December 22, 1953. To this union five children were born. Together, Bobby and Beth were privileged to share over 62 years, before Beth's passing in 2016.

Bobby faithfully served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He then went on to work at Zenith where he retired after working there for 28 years.  Bobby also substitute taught for his sister's classroom.  He enjoyed sharing with everyone that he went to school with Jimmy Dean.  Bobby had excellent penmanship, loved working in the garden, working cattle, playing dominos, and beating everyone in Monopoly.  He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, sometimes that was watching ballgames, going fishing at Clear Creek, or playing board games.  Bobby will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him, especially his family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son-in-law, Paul Matthews; daughter-in-law, Victoria Harlin; 7 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Bobby is survived by his loving family, three sons: Dale Harlin of TX, Darrell Harlin of Ash Grove, and John Harlin of Rogersville; two daughters: Denise Matthews of Republic, Lanette and husband Bill Sparks of Ash Grove; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.  Funeral services will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans Association and may be left at the funeral home.
