Britney
Shurtz
June 22, 1987 – July 28, 2023
Britney Shurtz, 36, of Springfield, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, July 28, 2023.
Britney, the daughter of Bryan and Donna (Cairus) Carlo, was born on June 22, 1987. On December 4, 2010, Britney and Zach Shurtz were united in marriage and shared over 13 years together.
Britney was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was precocious and wise beyond her years. Britney showed the fruits of the spirit in all aspects of her life. She was selfless and nurturing and everything she did was for "her boys". Britney's strong faith was apparent to anyone that crossed her path. She had obedience and humility to whatever God's will was: as was evident by the tattoo on her arm, "Thy will be done." She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Britney is survived by her husband Zach Shurtz; son, Kade Shurtz; parents, Bryan and Donna Carlo; brother, Brandon Carlo and wife Amber; niece and nephew, Lilly, Ethan; mother-in-law, Dae Shurtz; father-in-law, Charley Shurtz; brother-in-law, Seth Shurtz and wife Cassie; niece and nephews, Andrew, Jacob, Lucas, Isabell; paternal grandparents, Clark and Judy Carlo; special dog, Marley; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and many friends.
Britney was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pete and Barbara Cairus.
A gathering to celebrate Britney will be 2:00PM until 4:00PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to The Kitchen Inc., Springfield and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604.
"Daughter," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction." He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." Mark 5:34
