Carol Jane Kish, 65, of Springfield, Mo. passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo. following an extended illness.
Carol, the daughter of William and Mary (Matherly) Compton, was born in Polk County, in the Brighton area, on July 11, 1950. She grew in the area and attended Marion C. Early Schools, Morrisville, Mo. Carol lived for several years in Urbana, Mo. before returning to Springfield. She was employed with Ramada Inn Hotels, Springfield, Mo. for ten years in the housekeeping department. Carol was a member of the Baptist Church.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and husband Edward Paul Kish.
She is survived by her loving family: three Sons: Jeff and wife Julie Tummons and Dane Tummons all of Republic, Mo. and Jeremy Kish
of Urbana, Mo.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; eight brothers and sisters: Billy W. Compton, Sandra Hughes, David Compton, Bruce Compton, Vicki Harville, Rose Richie, Patricia Dilley,
and John Compton; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove, with Rev. Jesse Roberds officiating with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery, north of Willard, Mo.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
