Carol Jean Pryor nee Krob, aged 80, passed from this world on May 28th, 2016 after a sudden illness.Carol was born November 14, 1935 in Rochester, New York and was stricken with polio at two years old. Her family moved to the San Francisco bay area when she was young, and she was baptized at age 11 in Vallejo. She met Wesley Dene Pryor at a US Navy dance in her home town, and they married on August 23, 1953, residing first in Long Beach, California, and then in Springfield and Ash Grove, Missouri. Carol and Dene raised two boys and cared for many foster children in Missouri. She worked tirelessly as a farmer's wife and was a faithful member of Center Baptist Church in Ash Grove, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, two brothers, Kenneth and George in recent years, and her beloved parents Adolph and Edna Krob nee Fahrer. After her husband's death, Carol returned to California and resided at The Springs Retirement Center in Napa for over ten years, where she loved her many friends and enjoyed making new residents feel welcome. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Dene Pryor of Palm Springs, California, and Allen Wesley (Forrest) Pryor of San Antonio, a Son-in-Law, Vincent Imhoff of Palm Springs, two grandchildren, Rachel Danielle Potter of Kansas City, and Miles who lives in Texas, a sister, Darlene Long of Napa, California, and a brother, Richard Krob of Jonesborough, Tennessee. Carol was eternally optimistic, had a beautiful singing voice, and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM wth a memorial service at 10:30 AM at Wilson Brim-Daniel Funeral Home in Ash Grove, Missouri on June 4th, 2016.
