Willoughby
December 27, 1932 – April 28, 2017
Carol E. Eaves Willoughby, 84, of Walnut Grove, went to be with the Lord, Friday April 28, 2017. Carol was born to Lester and Alma (Lillard) Eaves on December 27, 1932. She married Henry "Ed" Willoughby January 23, 1951 and they were privileged to share over 63 years together before Ed's passing in 2014.
Carol was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1950. She was the office manager for PAS, Inc. for over 30 years retiring in 1994. Carol and Ed enjoyed traveling overseas and loved to RV travel across the states. She was an active member of Hopedale Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and quilting with the ladies of her church. Carol and Ed sang gospel music throughout the area for over 20 years with the "Harmonaires Quartet." Above all else, Carol enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Olas Eaves, Harold Eaves; and one sister, Jean Fisk.
Carol is survived by three daughters, Marsha Tracy and husband David of Nixa, Phyllis Hayter and husband Dennis of Springfield, Debbie Horne and husband John of Ozark; one son, Allan Willoughby of Nixa; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hopedale Baptist Church, Ozark, MO with Rev. Terry Kendrick officiating, interment following in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove with Rev. Scotty Killingsworth officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Missions Department: Hopedale Baptist Church 5370 N. Highway NN, Ozark, MO.
