Obituary

Carrol Marie Cribbs Stepp, 82, of Walnut Grove, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was born on September 28, 1940, to Clifford and Sadie (Seiner) Cribbs in Bolivar, Missouri.

In 1960 Carrol was working at Gospel Publishing House and met Darrell "Diz" Stepp. They began dating and were married September 30, 1961. Carrol and Diz shared over 61 years together.

Carrol was a devoted Christian woman who loved the Lord and her family. While in high school, she was a cheerleader, in the drum core, and the homecoming queen. After she and Diz were married, she was a homemaker until her children grew and then became the store manager at Mays Mart, for 35 years. Carrol enjoyed cooking and sharing with her family, friends, and neighbors. Carrol loved going to all her children and grandchildren's ballgames, rarely missing. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Carrol is survived by her husband, Darrell "Diz" Stepp; children, Cliff Stepp and wife Becky, Shelly Maddux and husband Mark, Tammy Crabtree and husband Scott; grandchildren, Sara Fry and husband Brandon, Lindsey Koelling and husband Charlie, Andrew Stepp and wife Lauren, Hayden Crabtree and wife Morgan, Hunter Crabtree; great grandchildren, Hudson and Declan Fry, Easton and Emmy Koelling, Cammy Stepp; sisters-in-law, Betty Cribbs, Joan Stepp; brother-in-law, Dorman Agee; cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Carrol was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Sadie Cribbs; sisters, Darlene Allen, Wanda Agee; brother, David Cribbs; and twin brother, Darrol Cribbs.

Visitation will be 5:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, March 3, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.

Carrol faithfully gave to St. Jude's for over 21 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to St. Jude's, in Carrol's name, and may be left at the funeral home.
