Catherine (Slagle) Hickman, the daughter of Calvin Slagle and Rose Mae (Licklider) Slagle, was born March 21, 1923 and passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016.

Catherine and Ershelle "Dick" Hickman were united in marriage on June 21, 1947. Together, Catherine and Dick were privileged to share over 52 years of marriage before Dick's passing in 1999.

Catherine and Dick lived in Kansas City for a period of time before making Willard their home. Catherine was involved in the Women's Auxiliary and loved spending time with her Sunday School class. Catherine also spent time at the Senior Center where she enjoyed lunch and many afternoon visits. Above all, Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family.

Catherine is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews; other family, and several friends.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Randall Hickman.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2016 from noon until service time, at 1:00PM, Thursday, at Willard 1st Baptist Church, Willard, Missouri. Graveside services will follow at Wesley Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Willard 1st Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
