Charles D. Roberts passed away, Saturday, July  13, 2024, and is now with his Heavenly Father.

Charles was a long time resident of Ash Grove and graduate of Ash Grove High School, class of 1967. Charles married Sherry Small and enjoyed 44 years of marriage on the farm just outside of Ash Grove. He faithfully served in the National Guard from 1968-1974 as one E-5. Charlie was employed with city utilities for 32 years as a serviceman, then being promoted to second in charge of the gas department, before retiring. Charlie loved to fish and watch the St. Louis Cardinals daily, during baseball season. He was often found in his garage repairing any gadget he could find and he enjoyed working on all kinds of odds and ends. One of his favorite activities was quail and pheasant hunting and would take annual trips to Kansas to hunt birds and watch his bird dogs work. Charlie was also a member of the Ash Grove Masonic Lodge #100.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Hazel Roberts; sister, Bonnie Sayler; and wife, Sherry Roberts.

Charlie is survived by one son, Jason Roberts; one grandson, Chandler Roberts; niece, Kathy Lawver; and nephew, Scott Sayler.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton, MO.
