Cheryl Renee Bendon 68, of Ash Grove, MO passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Cheryl was born May 23, 1948 in Maywood, CA, the daughter of George F. and Maxine (Shryock) Barnes.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Bendon on December 31, 1966. Together, they were privileged to share 49 years.

Cheryl was an avid crafter. She enjoyed gathering ideas from Pintrest and used her talents to not only craft, but sew, knit, crochet, and cook. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Joseph Bendon, of the home; two sons, Steven Joseph Bendon, of Redding, CA, and Jason Jerome Bendon and wife Serenity of West Plains, MO; one daughter, Jolene Kay Hays and husband Michael of Everton, MO; eight grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Bendon, Sean Patrick Bendon, Spencer Bailey Bendon and wife Devlisea, Madison Jordan Marie Bendon, Alexander Ignnatius Bendon, Madison Arlenia Hays, Garrett Joseph Ray Bendon, Eleanor Reese Bendon; two great grandchildren, Aislynn Bendon and Ameliah Bendon; one sister Lonnie Marie Shaw of Walker, CA; one aunt Dorothy Kelly of Hayden Lake, ID; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Steven Ray Barnes

Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the Wilson Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Graveside services will begin at 3:30PM, Saturday, in Sinking Creek Cemetery, near Everton, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association and may be left at the funeral home.
