Dakota A. Nelson, 25, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.

Dakota was born in Joplin, MO, on October 19, 1992.

Dakota loved camping, canoeing, being on the river, and back-roading. He enjoyed football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Dakota adored his family and spending time with them, especially his nieces and nephews. Dakota never met a stranger and loved to laugh. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Dakota is survived by his parents, Joe and Tammy Pope of Greenfield; father, Buck Nelson of Exeter, MO; siblings, Daniel Pope of Ash Grove, Kaydie Jett and husband Cody of Greenfield, Tim Pope of Greenfield, Bailey Nelson of Cassville; 3 nieces, Paisley Pope, Josie Pope, Allison Jett; 1 nephew, Tanner Jett; grandparents, Micki and Calvin Larson of Cassville, Mary Ann and Jim Nelson of Exeter other family and many friends.

Dakota was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara and Danny Sharp.

Celebration of life will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 2:00PM-4:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.
