David Leon Bennett, 62, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born on March 25, 1959, in Greenfield, Missouri, to Gilbert Leon and Mary (Dill) Bennett. On March 14, 1992, David and Angela Peterson were united in marriage and shared over 29 years together.

David was a hard worker throughout his life. He was a bricklayer and stonemason by trade. He enjoyed being outdoors, going for walks, fishing, and he loved everything about rocks. Above all, David adored his family and friends and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his wife, Angela Bennett; his children, Amy Hughes, David (Debra) Bennett, Jesse Davila (Susan Walter) , Ronnie Bennett (Sherry Ridout), Dakota Bennett; grandchildren, Briahna Bennett, Loren Bennett, Ayla Stafford, Ava Hughes-McGinnis, Nathaniel Bennett, Jesse Walter, and Aderienne Strickling; siblings, Dorinda (Tim) Wright, Rhonda (Bob) Berk, Kay (Mike) Sefton, Glenn (Becky) Bennett, Michael Bennett, Tresa (Jimmy) O'Neal; aunts, Regina (Wayne) Stapp, Lorene (Jack, deceased) Freeze, Lenora Dill; uncle, George (Cindy) Bennett; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and many friends.
