David F. Creed, 71, of Walnut Grove, passed away, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

David the son of Francis L. and Dorothy (Grantham) Creed, was born in Willard, MO, on July, 20, 1945.  David married Delberta Underwood on February 27, 1965, they enjoyed 52 years together.

David was a life-long area resident.  He spent over 25 years working with the Missouri Highway Department before retiring.  David enjoyed life on the farm, he enjoyed checking cattle and putting up hay.  He also enjoyed a good Western movie and traveling as much as he could.  Every year, David looked forward to the Creed Fest BBQ.  He enjoyed the time of being with family and friends and their time of fellowship together.  David enjoyed spending time with all, but nothing compared to the time that he was able to spend with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Daphne Lynn Creed; and son, Darrin James Creed.

David is survived by his wife, Delberta; son, Dustin Creed and wife Melanie; grandchildren, Brittany Creed, Alyssa Creed, Ceth Creed; great grandchildren, Jackson Creed, Colby Creed; brothers, Joe Creed and wife Missie, Jack Creed and wife Becky, Rick Creed and wife Joyce; sister, Fran Hosman and husband Doug; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO.  Funeral services will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2:00PM, in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Hospice Compassus, Walnut Grove Backpack Program, or Kids Crowns at 1 ^st Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home.
