David Eugene Harris, 76, passed away on May 1, 2019, at home, in Walnut Grove, MO.

David was born April 22, 1943 in Miami, TX. David graduated from high school in Nash, OK where he enjoyed playing baseball on the school team with his brothers. David served three years in the Air Force. He was united in marriage to Georgia Jean Harris, June 22, 1974. David worked as a heavy equipment operator for thirty-five years. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking as well as spending time with family.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Henry and Lucy Alice Harris as well as brothers, Charley Harris, Frank Harris, Delbert Harris, Robert Lee, Thurston Lee, and sisters, Katherine Huston and Dovey Murray. He was also preceded in death by his grandson Kody Swearengin.
David is survived by his wife Georgia; sons, Rick Harris (Pam), Michael Harris (Celeste), Tavis Harris (Megan) and daughter Shelly Swearengin (Keeton). David is also survived by brother, Jerry Harris (Kay) and sisters Patsy Wayman, Annie Mae Harris and Sandy LaCross. David is survived by grandchildren, Am'Ber Baldwin, Bethany Jones (Jesse), Crystal Cumley (Ethan), David Harris (Priscilla), Skyler Harris (Elizabeth), Tavis Harris Jr., Kenzie Harris and Jaden Harris. Great grandchildren, Jaz'Myn, Daisy, Cameron, Ryver, Dusty, Hadley, Wheaton, Teagen, Greyson and Kailey.
David will be missed by many family members and friends.

Visitation will be, Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 1:00PM-until service time at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO. Memorial service will begin at 2:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Oxford Hospice Health Care and may be left at the funeral home.
