It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Michael Simmons, born December 29, 1971, to Richard and Nancy Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy, and his son, Thomas George. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Madeleine Simmons, his father, Richard and Nilene Simmons, his brother, Rick and Cheryl Simmons, his sister, Donella Jaeger, and his two grandchildren, Riley and Phoenix.

David was born and raised in Missouri, where he developed a lifelong passion for cinema, music, sports, and the outdoors—especially hunting and fishing. Throughout his life, he longed for better and aspired to find love and peace in his own humble place in this world.

He will be remembered for his big heart, his creativity, and the deep emotions he felt for those closest to him. David leaves behind not only treasured memories but also many lessons that will continue to guide and strengthen the family who survives him.

The visitation will be Saturday, September 6, 2025, 12-2pm at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Walnut Grove, MO.
