Denzel Lee Jenkins, 83 of Belton, Mo. passed away Friday morning,
November 6, 2015, in his residence.
Denzel, the son of Wm. Edgar and Doris Floy (Sallee) Jenkins, was born on
February 8, 1932 in Bois D' Arc, Mo. During his 38 years in Belton, he once served as the 1st President of Lord of Love congregation. Denzel was an Air Force Veteran. He made his career as a field representative for Allied Signal in Kansas City Missouri, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed sports, NASCAR racing, gardening and landscaping. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Charyl Anderson; son, Terry Jenkins; step-sons, Jerry Trussel (Ann), Gary Killingsworth (Karri); brothers, Robert Jenkins (Paula), Mike Jenkins (Destea); sisters, Helen Comer (Donny Ray), Roberta Johnson (Tommy), Betty Gardner (Glenn); 30 and grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove with interment in Ash Grove
Cemetery, with Military honors under the auspices of the Missouri Military Honors Team.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - till service time
in the Funeral Home.
