Donald "History" J. Ayers, of Walnut Grove, departed this life on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the age of 76.

History was born on February 7, 1942 to Donald E. and Lillian (Cooper) Ayers, in South Gate, CA.

History was well known for being a printer at A&J in Nixa.  He loved motorcycles and enjoyed racing motorcycles, riding and camping across the country and going to Sturgis.  He was also a member of Master Link Motorcycle Club.  History loved being outdoors and going fishing, he loved it even more when he could share the time with family and friends.  He was an artist and worked with copper.  History will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

History is survived by his daughters, Mary Ayers of Springfield, Jessie Thornton of Springfield, Debbie Hall and husband Cory of UT; brothers, Stephen Ayers and wife Patty of Walnut Grove, Rick Ayers and wife Linda, Gary Ayers and wife Linda all of CA; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Dakota, Catie and Christen Ayers, Jason Gomez, Jessica Tello, Joshua Francis; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

History was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:00AM at Hillbilly Haven, Motor Link Club House, 11294 W. Farm Rd. 140, Bois D'Arc, MO 65612
