Donald "Bud" Arthur Jr., age 64, of Willard, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. Born on July 3, 1960, in Springfield, Missouri, to Donald and Peggy (Green) Arthur Sr., Bud was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Bud was united in marriage to the love of his life, Debra "Debbie" Joplin, on March 14, 1980, and they shared 36 wonderful years together until her passing in 2016. Together, they raised two children, Jaime and Donald "Bub" Arthur, who blessed them with grandchildren Elizabeth, Devin, Jordan, Megan, and Dereck, and great-grandchildren Owen, Rosalee, Cooper, Ella, Oakley, and soon-to-arrive River.

Bud cherished his family and created lasting memories with them, teaching his grandchildren to mushroom hunt, ride four-wheelers, and cook special meals. His love for old country music, driving back roads, and camping in Chadwick with his family was well-known.

Professionally, Bud was a dedicated concrete Laborer/Finisher at DeWitt and Associates, Inc., and a proud member of Laborers' Local Union 663. He was respected on job sites in Springfield and surrounding areas, making many friends throughout his career.

Bud is survived by his children, Jaime Arthur and Donald Arthur III with his wife Rosene; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Debbie (Dennis), Charlotte, Alvina (Eddie), Cheryl (Ken), Dennis Dale (Shelly), and Darin (Shawnee); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Peggy Arthur, and his beloved wife, Debbie Arthur.

The family will be hosting a graveside service at 11:00AM, Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Eudora Cemetery, Eudora, MO.
