Donald Glenn Schwenn, 78 of Branson West, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Don was born November 29, 1945, to Donald and Marylea (Green) Schwenn in Shenandoah, Iowa. He was raised in the Westboro/Tarkio area. Don attended Tarkio Schools, graduating in 1963. On September 12, 1965, Don and Wilda McGuire were united in marriage and to this union two sons were born, Marc and Matthew Schwenn.

In 1974 Don and his family moved to the Springfield area, where Don was employed as a Springfield firefighter and they raised their family in Willard. Don retired from the Springfield Fire Department after 31 ½ years, retiring as a captain. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church and was a 54 year member of the Masonic Lodge. Don and Wilda moved to The Village of Coney Island and made that their retirement home. Don remodeled and built on to the home which he was very proud of and the lake front view was breath taking. He was active in his community and served on the board of directors of Coney Island and was in charge of the water system. Don's neighbors loved him and were fantastic to check on Don and Wilda. He was a wonderful caregiver to his wife Wilda and worked hard to keep her at home and to find the best home healthcare. Don loved his family, and he absolutely cherished his grandchildren. He was a hero to all that knew and loved him.

Don is survived by his wife, Wilda; sons, Marc Schwenn and wife Dolores Coble, Matthew Schwenn; grandchildren, Colton Schwenn, Dr. Chenoa Schwenn and husband Nick Foster, Jacob Nelson and wife Jaiden, Levi Nelson; siblings, Penny Westfall, Danny Schwenn and wife Stephanie;  nieces, nephews; other family and many friends.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marylea Schwenn.

Masonic Services will begin at 5:00PM, Monday, January 29, 2024, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Visitation will immediately follow until 7:00PM. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
