Donna Rae Sterling, 83 of Bolivar, passed away, Saturday, September 17, 2022. Donna was born in Ash Grove, Missouri on October 18, 1938, to Cletos and Margie Iona (Lewis) Hagar. On October 29, 1960, Donna and Bob Sterling were united in marriage and shared over 61 years together.

Donna was raised in the Ash Grove community and graduated High School from there. She and Bob moved to Ava, Missouri and raised their family. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Ava and was active as long as her health allowed. Donna was friendly, loved to tell stories, and enjoyed a good laugh. She and Bob enjoyed traveling together. Donna loved to listen to music and order from QVC during her times at home. Above all, Donna loved her family, every night before bed, she took time to go through and look at her pictures of her family. Donna will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Cletos Hagar and Margie Iona Lewis Hagar Johnson; step father, Harry Johnson.

Donna is survived by her husband Bob Sterling; sons, Brad Sterling and wife Janet, Bruce Sterling and wife B.J.; grandchildren, Brett Sterling, Tyler Parker and wife Miranda, Ely Parker and wife Cally, Brian Sterling and wife Melody, Emily Vaughn and husband Andrew, Nicolas Sterling; great grandchildren, Blair, Beckham, Brynn, Baylor, Declan, Amelia; and 2 great grandbabies on the way; other family and many friends.

Graveside services will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or Arthritis Foundation and can be mailed to the funeral home, Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO.
