Edith M. (Hood) Morris, of Bois D'Arc, departed this life, on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the age of 86.

Edith was born on July 17, 1931 to James Newton and Evia (Nixon) Hood, in Bois D'Arc, MO.  On July 9, 1949, Edith and Bobby Lee Morris were united in marriage; together they shared over 46 years together, before Bobby's passing in 1995.

Edith loved the Lord.  She was a Full Gospel Minister and enjoyed studying the Bible.  Edith also loved listening to Southern Gospel Music.  She adored her family and all the time that she was able to spend with them.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Edith is survived by daughter, Connie Harre of Springfield; son, Bobby Morris of Willard; 2 son-in-laws, Steven Chenault and Benny Gordon both of Springfield; 4 grandchildren, Mark Andrew Asbell and wife Bethany, Amie Asbell, William Harre all of Springfield, Janell Korte and husband Kris of Willard; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other family and many friends.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Darlene Gordon; son, Timmy Morris; 5 sisters; 1 brother.

Visitation will be 12:30 PM until service time on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00, Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Johns Chapel Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.
