Edward E. Mahaffey, 69 of Willard, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. Edward was born on June 1, 1954, in Little Rock, AR to Vern and Imodene (Lawhorn) Mahaffey.  On November 1, 1986, Edward and Pamela Duncan were united in marriage and shared over 37 years together.

Edward was an active member of New Life Baptist Church. He enjoyed meeting with the men's group twice a week, helping with AWANA, and helping with the sound. Edward was also known for his grilled cheese sandwiches and chili at the church's fall festival. He loved all episodes of Star Trek and was an enthusiastic Trekkie. Edward was an Eagle Scout and was later a leader in the Scouts and active in helping sell their popcorn. He also volunteered his time with the students of Willard, especially the band program while his daughter was in school. Edward was a bus aide for Willard School District, and he loved his time there with the students. When Edward had some down time, he enjoyed cooking, electronics, and traveling, especially going to the beach or on cruises with his beloved wife, Pam. Edward loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Edward is survived by his wife, Pam Mahaffey; children, Chris Lecompte and wife Pam, Beth Wilson and husband Aaron; grandchildren, Leighton Lecompte, Dante Wilson; sister, Pam Eley; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lily Mahaffey.

Memorial services will be 1:30PM, Friday, November 17, 2023, at New Life Baptist Church, Willard, MO.
