Ercil Eric Grant, the son of William "Eric" and Edna Lee (Murray) Grant, was born July 26, 1921 and passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.

Ercil and Marjorie (Blankenship)were united in marriage on July 4, 1942. Together, Ercil and Marjorie were privileged to share over 64 years of marriage before Marjorie passing in 2006.

Ercil was a life-long resident of Willard, MO, except while he was serving in WWII.  He was a machinist, business owner, and farmer.  Ercil enjoyed taking care of his sheep and cattle on the farm.  He also enjoyed working in the garden and working on clocks.

Ercil is survived by three children, Gloira Dawson, of Springfield; Merlene Flannery, of Il; Craig Grant and wife Ginger, of Willard; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Schaefer, Vera Nicholson; a special caregiver, Joy Lockwood; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and many friends.

Ercil was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, one brother, and a grandson, Scotty Grant.

Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2016 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at Willard First Baptist Church, Willard, MO.  Funeral Services will immediately follow, beginning at 2:00PM, in the church.  Burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Willard First Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
