Erma Ann Squibb Owens, the daughter of Karl D. and Louise (Baldwin) Squibb, was born March 15, 1940. She passed away August 9, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Erma was born in Bois D'Arc, Missouri and was a lifelong resident of the Bois D' Arc area. Erma graduated from Bois D' Arc High School, as the valedictorian, in 1957. She then went on to Draughon Business College. Erma worked outside the home for several years at Harry Cooper Supply Company. She then went on to be the section 8 coordinator for HAS Properties, retiring in 2018, after 37 years, at the age of 78. She was an active member of the Bois D' Arc United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday school teacher, the children's choir director and a member of the UMW. Erma loved to sing and was a long-time member of Sweet Adelines. She also sang at many funerals, weddings, and countless church specials throughout the years. She enjoyed cooking, and the family favorite was her biscuits and gravy. Erma loved caring for her family and being able to spend time with them, especially her grandchildren, who knew her as "Happy." She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Erma and Aubrey Owens were united in marriage September 25, 1966. To this union two children were born. They were privileged to share over 47 years together before Aubrey's passing in 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Karl and Louise Squibb; and husband, Aubrey Owens.

She is survived by her loving family, son Chad and wife Kara Owens; daughter Melissa (Missy) and husband Jamie Moreland; five grandchildren: Jacob Moreland, Alexa Owens, Tate Moreland, Jackson Owens and Sam Moreland all of the Bois D' Arc area; sister, Mary Lea Hicks of Springfield; brother Warren Squibb and special friend Delta King both of Springfield; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Bois D' Arc United Methodist Church with Rev. Kim Polchow and Pastor Kevin Baker officiating with interment following in Clear Creek Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

Visitation will be Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to the Bois D' Arc United Methodist Church.
