Obituary

Everett Dean Schofield, 82, of Ash Grove, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, November 3, 2022.


Everett, the son of Paul and Retta (Hendrix) Schofield, was born in Greene County, MO, on August 8, 1940. Everett and Charolette Marie Long were united in marriage on October 18, 1960. They shared over 62 years together.

Everett was a life-long area resident. He worked as a machinist and retired from Jefferson Smurfit. He also went to auction school in 1975 at Fort-Smith Auction School and was a local auctioneer. Everett was also a hog farmer for MFA Tela Auction. He loved recycling and recycled the metal for the Ash Grove City Wide Clean up day. Everett was a worker and enjoyed keeping busy. About 5 years ago, Everett was saved and baptized. He was so proud of the decision he made.

Everett is survived by his wife, Charolette Schofield; children, Richard Schofield, John Schofield and wife Janie Arata, David Schofield, Lisa Rear and husband Randy; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; other family and friends.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Retta Schofield; brother, Earnest Schofield; sisters, Carlyon McIntosh and Freida Wilson.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 9:00AM until service time at Bible Baptist Church, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, at the church with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Everett's name to the donor's choice of church or charity.
