Frances Roberta Gaynor, 98 of Ash Grove passed away, Friday, January 29, 2021. She was born on August 17, 1922, in Murfreesboro, TN to Preston and Fannie Thomas. On May 8, 1943 Roberta and French Howard Gaynor were united in marriage and shared over 42 years together before French's passing in 1985.

Roberta was a loving wife and mother. She kept a garden and enjoyed raising her 3 boys. After the children were grown, Roberta went to work in housekeeping at Cox Hospital and retired from there.

Roberta is survived by her two sons, Freddie Gaynor and wife Rosa, Preston Gaynor and wife Gail; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; other family and many friends.

Roberta is preceded in death by her husband French Gaynor; son, Randall Gaynor; and sister, Serena.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Association and may be left at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 10:00AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 N. Campbell Ave, Springfield, MO, 65802, with burial following in Ash Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2021 at Wilson Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, from 6:00PM-8:00PM where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:00PM.
