Fred "Vince" Geren, 77 of Ash Grove passed away April 19, 2022. Fred was born in Ash Grove, MO on March 6, 1945, to Paul and Wanda "Toots" (Whitehead) Geren. On March 19, 1983, Fred and Kay (Coble) were united in marriage and shared over 39 years together.

Fred was a lifelong area resident. He was saved at an early age and had been attending Sac River Cowboy Church. Fred faithfully served for 6 years in the United States Army Reserves and worked many different jobs throughout his life. Fred loved to hunt bargains at yard sales and was an avid collector. He was handy and could fix and build just about anything, including the home he built for his bride back in 1983. Fred also enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved spending time at the coffee shop with his friends and he loved spending time with his family. Fred's smile and the laughter he shared will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Wanda "Toots" Geren and older brother, Paul Melvin Geren.

Fred is survived by his wife, Kay Geren of the home; siblings, Jan Jennings and husband Joe of Willard, Dennis Geren and wife Suzie of IL, Roy Douglas Geren of Ash Grove; niece, Debbie; nephews, Brad and Randy; other family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, April 22, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sac River Cowboy Church or Samaritan's Purse and may be left at the funeral home.
