Gary Wayne Johnson, 58 of Lockwood, MO passed away on January 6, 2022, from heart complications.

He was born to parents Ken and Carol (Mills) Johnson in Springfield, MO on March 4, 1963. In February 1986, he married the love of his life, Brenda (Rush) Johnson, they shared over 35 years together.

Gary made such a large impact on every person he knew. His larger-than-life personality made everyone feel special. He never met a stranger and made a lasting impression that will not be forgotten. In March 2001, he began working for IBEW. He prided himself on his work ethic. He never missed work, he worked almost 21 years doing what he loved. He loved the comradery and accumulated countless friends over those years. During the time that he was not working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gary was one of the most fun-loving and charismatic men. He will be deeply missed, and his legacy will live on forever.

Gary is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson; mother, Carol Tuck; brother, Mike Johnson and wife Carrie; children, Brandy Johnson and husband Kyle, Charles "Bear" Mitchell and wife Stephanie, Kenny Johnson, Keith Johnson and wife Hannah; grandchildren, Tyler, Canyon, Cooper, Wyatt, Logan, Kolt, Reggie, Brynlee; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Ken Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM, Monday, January 10, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, with burial to follow at Ray Springs Cemetery, Everton, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to American Heart Association and may be left at the funeral home.
