Gary L. Mason 64, Springfield, Mo. passed away in his home, on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2015 following an extended illness.

Gary, the son of Victor and Lucille (Green) Mason was born June 9, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up in the Ash Grove and Bois D' Arc areas. He graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1968. Gary retired from Litton Corp. (Northup Guramman) being in management and accounting for 37 years, and for three years he was Controller for Ozark Empire Fair. He was very civic minded and active and served on numerous boards including, Victory Missions of Springfield for 20 years and Blue Current Credit Union. Gary was a lifelong active member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was the organist since 1966.

Gary Lynn Mason and Debra King were united in marriage on June 24, 1972. To this union 2 children were born. Together Gary and Debra
were privileged to share almost 43 years. Preceding him in death
were his parents, Victor and Lucille Mason numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Gary in survived by his loving family: wife Debra; son, Bradley Evans and fiancee Kelli Rudert Springfield; daughter, Shawna and husband Brandon Bond of Willard and numerous cousins.

Services will be held on Monday June 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in Clear Creek Baptist Church, 7600 West Farm Road #108 Springfield, Mo. with Rev. Daryl Walker and Rev. Jim Harriger. Interment will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery, under the care and direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Mo.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in the Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
