Gary Duane Stull, 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Katy, Texas, surrounded by his family.
Gary was born on August 14, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Duane and Marge Stull. Gary was united in marriage to Kathryn Poole on June 21, 1969. In Gary's own words, Kathy was his sidekick, best friend, and wife who blessed him with 36 wonderful years. Gary and Kathy were blessed with 3 sons: Benjamin, Barry and Todd and enjoyed a quiet life in Ash Grove, Missouri.
Gary spent his life in the custom woodworking field, spending 43 years as a custom wagon builder and wheelwright. He is a member of the National Craftsman Hall of Fame and was a demonstrating craftsman at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri for many years. Gary, along with sons Barry and Todd, were involved in showing Belgian draft horses for years. Gary was a lover of horses and all things
western. He was a great storyteller and loved to write. He also enjoyed spending time with his 3 granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathryn, and young son Benjamin. Gary leaves behind 2 sons: Barry and wife, Angela of Blue Eye, Missouri and Todd and wife, Cheyenne of Fulshear, Texas. He also leaves behind 3 granddaughters: Ariana, Kathryn, and Addison, 1 sister, Gail Eddings, 2 brothers, Randy and Bruce Stull, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 18, 2018 at Wilson Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove, Missouri.
