George Robert Sloop was born to Jessica Ann (Thomas) and Billy Ira Sloop on July 5, 1971, and passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023, in Omaha, Nebraska from complications of COPD. He was preceded in death by his parents, his husband Craig Renshaw and two brothers Billy Ira, Jr., and John Mark Sloop.

He held many jobs throughout his life, but his favorite was always when he was in the kitchen cooking for others. George found himself in Omaha after the death of his husband Craig where he was able to connect to those that allowed him to live his life fully with God and in comfort while managing his many challenges with his health.

George is survived by his younger brother David Sloop (Missy) of Springfield, MO and their children Angel and Chase; his younger sister Jennifer Holdgreve (Chris) of Centreville, MD and their children Ryan, Allison, and Sam; his elder sister Penny Yount (Daniel) of San Diego, California and her children Jonathan and Mary; as well as his Aunt Priscilla, Uncle Paul, and Cousin Amy McMasters all of Springfield, MO.

George was loved by all that knew him for his kindness and soft nature. George's family will miss his meatloaf, his rolls and his chocolate pecan pie during the holidays but rejoice in knowing he is no longer in any pain. His humble demeanor and kind soul will not be forgotten by any that knew him.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton, MO.
