Georgia M. Hodson Mitchell, 94, of Walnut Grove, passed away, Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

Georgia the daughter of Charles and Clara (Kagarice) Hodson, was born in East Lynn, MO.  Georgia married Arthur Hodson on September 30, 1939.  They were privileged to share over 21 years together before Arthur's passing in 1961.  On June 17, 1965 Georgia married Kenneth Mitchell.  They were privileged to share over 16 years together before Kenneth's passing in 1981.

Georgia became a Christian at an early age.  She enjoyed being out in her yard and working in the garden, she also enjoyed cooking, particularly for her family. Georgia always loved visiting with her friends, and Georgia especially loved her time visiting with all of her grandkids.  She greatly worried about her family and was always there to give good guidance.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Hodson; husband, Kenneth Mitchell; a son, Lawrence "Larry" Hodson; and 2 infant brothers.

Georgia is survived by two sons, Clifford Hodson and wife Pat, Wayne Hodson and wife Bille, all of Walnut Grove; a daughter, Martina Hann, of Harrisonville, MO; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Alice Lee, Dorothy Shirk, Alberta Lee, all of Belton, MO, Effie Yates, of Lee Summit, MO; several cousins, other family and many friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Monday, February 6, 2017, at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, Missouri.
