Gwendolyn M. Garrison, 81, of Walnut Grove, MO passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016. She was born on November 5, 1934 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Cecil and Ruby Dodtson. .

On July 23, 1951, Gwendolyn was united in marriage with Charles Garrison and they have shared over sixty-five years of love and laughter together.

Although Gwendolyn provided a wonderful home for her family, she also worked outside her home. For many years, she was an electronic assembler for different manufacturing companies.

In her spare time Gwendolyn enjoyed quilting, fishing, bowling, and was a wonderful cook. She was a very talented person. Gwendolyn was also a member of the Oak Grove Church in Walnut Grove.

Gwendolyn is survived by her husband Charles, of the home; one daughter, Sylvia Love of Springfield; one son Chuck Garrison and wife Loupe of MN; three grandchildren, Alexa, Rick, and Jonathan Garrison; and numerous family and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry Garrison; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00PM, July 15, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Oak Grove Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
