Hannah Mae Vest, 93 of Walnut Grove, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024. Hannah was born November 23, 1930, to Alvin and Pauline (McCulley) Thompson in Aldrich. On August 13, 1950, Hannah and Coy Vest were united in marriage and shared over 46 years together before Coy's passing in 1997.

Hannah was a lifelong area resident. After high school she began working at Polk County Bank and retired from there in 1992. She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, and crocheting. Hannah also enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Hannah is survived by her daughter, Shirre Sconce and husband Mark; grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Whitney, Matthew; 9 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Hannah is preceded in death by her husband, Coy Vest; parents, Alvin and Pauline Thompson; siblings; Buck Thompson, Pete Thompson, Grace Yokely, and Linnie McGowen; nephews, Tony Thompson, Wade Thompson, and Ronnie Yokely.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Eudora Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, at the church with burial at Eudora Cemetery.
