Harold Ray Blakemore, 90, passed away, Friday, December 8, 2017.
Harold the son of Daniel and Blanche Blakemore, was born in Morrisville, MO, on April 14, 1927. On December 10, 1949 Harold and Anna Lou (King) were united in marriage. Together they shared almost 68 years together.
Harold faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Seaman 1 st Class and served during WWII. After his time of service Harold went on to work at Paul Mueller CO where he retired, after 30 years. Harold was an avid reader. He also enjoyed gardening and loved sharing his garden produce with neighbors and family. He was known for his incredible tomatoes. Harold was a great father that raised his family in church and loved his Lord and Savior. He adored his family and loved taking them on wonderful vacations, he especially enjoyed Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone Parks. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Anna of the home; daughters, Glenda Rea and husband Gary of Rogersville, Lavonda Trogdon and husband David of Ash Grove; son, David Blakemore and wife Kelly of Willard; 3 grandchildren, Stephen Ray Kellough, Matt Blakemore, Rachel Phillips; 5 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Junior Blakemore and Eddie Blakemore.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM, December 11, 2017 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, with burial to follow, in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
