Helen Marcella Grant 92, of Ash Grove, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was born October 9, 1932, in Ash Grove, MO, to Homer and Ruth (Wise) Fortner. On October 12, 1951, Helen and Larry Grant were united in marriage and shared over 67 years together, before Larry's passing in 2018.

Helen was a lifelong area resident. She was active in her church for as long as her health allowed. Helen was a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell and sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was an accomplished knitter. Helen loved cooking and was known for her great divinity. Above all, Helen enjoyed her family and spending time with them.

Helen is survived by daughter, Karin Lyons; sister, Shirley Daniel; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ruth Fortner; husband, Larry Grant; and brother, James Tedford "Jimmy Ted" Fortner.

Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Ash Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association and may be left with the funeral home.
