Obituary

Henry Earl Wills, Jr. was born May 19, 1924 to Henry Earl, Sr and Bessie Kelly Wills.

He graduated from Everton High School in May, 1943 and was drafted into the army in June of that year. He served overseas in the Philippines where he attained the rank of sergeant. In civilian life, he was a machinist and mechanic. Later he worked at Willard Schools in maintenance.

In 1960 he married Peggy Wallace Stamate, becoming step-father to her two sons, James and Steven Stamate. Later, a niece, Tracey Wallace, was raised in the home as a daughter.

He is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Peggy; a step-son, Steven Stamate, of Mt. Vernon, a daughter-in-law, Kathy Stamate of the home; niece/daughter, Tracey Shearer (Randy) of Springfield; grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Sam (Kim), Christian, Joseph, Scott, Les, Rich, (Rachael); five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Sadie, Zachary, Malarie, and Aden; a brother Charles (Joann); several nieces, nephews, cousins, plus a special cousin, Betty Lou McCarroll, of ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, James Stamate.

Visitation will be 1:00PM, Saturday, November 26, 2016, funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00PM, at the Willard Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in Willard, followed by burial in Sinking Creek Cemetery at Everton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be left to Willard Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church.
