Obituary

Hilda Bai Packia Leela Jhayamoni, 78, of Springfield passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022.  She was born on November 26, 1943, to PA Jeganathan and Flora Bai Suhirthamony Murthi.  She married Selvarajah Santhanasamy and to this union 5 children were born.


Hilda loved flowers and loved growing flowers. She could grow them anywhere.  She also made the best lamb curry and enjoyed sharing it with her friends. Hilda loved God and was always in His Word.  She was a prayer warrior and was such an encouragement to those around her.  She enjoyed worshipping God through song and singing with her grandchildren. Hilda was a selfless person and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Hilda is survived by her children - Rejina Selvarajah Oldham, Flora Selvarajah, Abraham Selvarajah and wife Alma, Andrew Selvarajah and wife Grace, Lydia Selvarajah; grandchildren - Zach, Jeff, Joel Andrew.
Hilda's beloved cousin in USA Sakuntala Peter and family Ruby, Anita, David, Marcia and all their children and family.   Much cherished by extended family, brothers/sisters in Christ, and friends in Malaysia.  Hilda lived in the US around the last five years of her life and closely fellowshipped with many friends - Faith, Lois, Connect Church, Joy, Barb, Marcia, Ivanka and many others who loved her.
She loved Jesus more than anything. GBU (God Bless U)
A small quiet ceremony was held with close family and friends who were able to attend as a celebration of Hilda's life.
