Horace "Dee"
Cribbs Iv
June 7, 1959 – May 5, 2021
"This is where the cowboy rides away"
Horace Dayton Cribbs IV of Walnut Grove, Missouri born June 7, 1959 and left this world May 5, 2021. He left this world horseback, just like he always wanted. From the time he was a young cowboy, he lived life full throttle. He loved to test the limits and kind of enjoyed getting in a mess or two, but he would always come out on top with a smile on his face. He lived most of his childhood in the saddle, working side by side with his dad on the farm and was surrounded by lifelong friends. He was a beam of light that just seemed to draw people in. Little Dee will forever be remembered for his smile, his one liners, and his big heart for his family and friends.
Dee is survived by his loving wife Nancy Cribbs (Blew) since March 20, 1999. Five children "Hooter" Horace Dayton Cribbs V; wife Lacie Cribbs of Marionville, MO, daughter Sami Young; husband Brett Young of Marionville, MO, son Darrell Cribbs; wife Cassie Cribbs of Fair Grove, MO, daughter Amanda Sharp; husband Cody Sharp of Walnut Grove, MO, daughter Alyssa Bailey; husband Colt Bailey of Blue Jacket, OK. His mother and father Horace Dee Cribbs III and Sally Cribbs of Walnut Grove, MO. Sister Jenny Gilkey; husband Steve Gilkey of Walnut Grove, MO. Brother in laws Ron and wife Shari Blew and Ken and wife Nancy Blew all of Mount Hope, KS. Pops was so proud of his ten grandchildren and they loved him something fierce; Blane Young, Mason Withnell, Creek Cribbs, Laramie Zibbell, Paisley Cribbs, Nekalia Young, Stockton HD Cribbs, Lexi Sharp, Coral Cribbs, and Prairie Cribbs. A herd of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Horace Jr and Genevieve Cribbs of Brighton, MO; Charles and Jean Robertson of Walnut Grove, MO.
As he met the pearly gates, we are confident he greeted the Good Lord with his famous line, "We're havin' fun now!"
Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time, Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Big Woody Pasture Roping, Walnut Grove, MO. Funeral services will begin at 4:00M, at Big Woody Pasture Roping, with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
