Howard Kenneth Rhudy, 96 of Ash Grove, Mo. passed away on Sunday evening, February 14, 2016, in Ash Grove Health Care Center, following an extended illness.

Howard, the son of Floyd and Ada (Peachee) Rhudy, was born July 7, 1919 in Neosho, Mo.
He, attended school in Oklahoma, Colorado, and graduated from Moline, Kansas High School in 1936. Howard was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp serving for five and half years in the Philippines and New Guinea. He was a member of the local VFW. Howard and his son, Randy were privileged to take the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He was
a supervisor with the Water Company of Wiley, Colorado for 10 years. He was of the Methodist Faith. He loved sporting events, attending as many of his grandchildren's games he and Mary could. He enjoyed and was on several Bowling leagues over the years. He enjoyed the out of doors, hunting and fishing.

Howard Rhudy and Mary Towe were united in marriage on June 5, 1948 in New Mexico. To this union two children were born. Together, Howard and Mary were privileged to share over 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Mary; son, Randy and wife Susan Rhudy of Ash Grove, Mo.; and daughter, Rhonda and partner Cindy Soloman of Grand Juncton, Colo.; three grandchildren: Chris Rhudy, Jennie and husband Bryan Newberry, and Ryan and wife Kinsey Rhudy; 4 great grandchildren: Caleb Graham, Aiden Kenneth Newberry, Ava Newberry and Parker Elodie Rhudy; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, February 20, 2016 in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove with Rev. Tom Geer officiating with grandson, Chris Rhudy giving the eulogy. Inurnment following in John's Chapel south of Ash Grove with Military Honors provided by the Missouri Military Honors Team.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - !0:45 a.m. prior to services in the funeral home chapel.
