Ida Mae Hensley, 88, of Ash Grove, MO passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016. Ida Mae was born August 3, 1928 in Hartville, MO, the daughter of Herman and Lucille (Mitchell) Estell.
She was united in marriage to Bobby Dean Hensley on August 3, 1944. Together, they were privileged to share almost 50 years.
Ida Mae was a long time member of Liberty Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening and especially being able to help others. Ida Mae enjoyed helping with the family fish fries and everyone appreciated her cinnamon rolls. She dearly loved her friends and family, but nothing compared to the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bobby on May 31, 1994; three daughters, Vivian West and Judy and Sheila Hensley; one brother Jerry Estell; and one sister Betty Arnall.
Ida Mae is survived by one daughter, Kathy Decker of Jackson, MO; one son, Greg Hensley of Branson, MO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother Bill Estell of Rhode Island; one sister Virginia Arnall of Springfield, MO; several cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in the Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Liberty Cemetery or Liberty Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
