Jack G. Race, 95 of Willard passed away July 10, 2022. Jack was born in Willard, MO on April 4, 1927, to Horace L. and Beulah K. (Blankenship) Race. On March 31, 1956, Jack and Sybil Mayabb were united in marriage and shared 49 years together, until Sybil's passing in 2005.

Jack graduated from Central High School and faithfully served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked as a Greyhound Bus Driver and had many different routes, including the historical Route 66. After retirement he had ran a dump truck. Jack was a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed camping, boating, and skiing with his family and friends during his younger years. Jack loved his farm and the animals on it, especially his mules. He loved to tinker, but his shop was always organized. During the times that Jack would slow down, he enjoyed watching westerns and listening to classic country music. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Race and daughter, Becky Race.

Jack is survived by his children, Steve Race and wife JoAnn, Debbie Paschall and husband Mark; grandchildren, Stephanie Race, Tom Race and wife Robin, Kristina Hansel and husband Ryan, Shawn Hamby, Kayla Neil and husband Andrew; 8 great grandchildren; other family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Wesley Cemetery, Willard, MO.
