James "Jimmy Bowers, 68, of Ash Grove, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born on April 25, 1954, to Arthur and Bonnie (Binkley) Bowers. On June 6, 1975, Jimmy and Elaine Burgess were united in marriage and shared over 47 years together.  To this union, their two sons, Michael and Brandon were born.

Jimmy graduated from the 1972 class of Walnut Grove. He worked on the railroad for 42 years and loved his railroad family, they were a closeknit crew. Jimmy also loved farming and had farmed almost 48 years. He was an honest, hardworking, well-liked man with such a sweet soul. Jimmy loved raising his boys and later adopting and raising two of his grandchildren and the door was always open to his other grandson, Weston. Jimmy adored being with them and supporting them in all their endeavors. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and neighbor.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Elaine Bowers; son/grandson, Tristan Bowers, daughter/granddaughter, Lexi Bowers and boyfriend Mason Anderson; grandson, Weston Bowers; great grandsons, Braylon and Braxton Anderson; siblings, Tommy Bowers and wife Patty, Reita Mathews; aunt, Kathryn Cox; brother-in-law, Brian Burgess and wife Teri; sister-in-law, Beth Jenkins and husband Grifford; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bonnie Bowers and sons, Michael and Brandon Bowers.

Visitation will be noon until 3:00PM, Friday, December 30, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO. Graveside services will be 3:30PM, Friday, December 30, 2022, at Ash Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association and can be left at the funeral home.
